AI + Handmade Ceramics

The project is a collaboration between Mario Forcherio and Stefania Mairano ceramic creations ( www.stefaniamairano.it ). The subjects created with AI portray mature people immersed in an explosion of colours, flowers and other details that celebrate their inner vitality. The use of floral elements and eccentric clothes is not only an aesthetic choice, but symbolically represents a youthfulness of soul that persists despite the passing of the years. These portraits challenge stereotypes of ageing, presenting the subjects as powerful and vibrant figures who have not lost their sense of style, but have made it even more unique and personal. The images seem to communicate that age is not a barrier to creativity or self-expression, but rather an additional dimension of personality that deserves to be celebrated. The combination of elements traditionally associated with youth with faces marked by a lifetime of experience creates a fascinating contrast that enhances the beauty of maturity. In this way, the images offer a radiant and positive view of ageing, inviting the viewer to see life as an ongoing opportunity to express themselves with courage and colour. The AI-generated image is printed on a wooden panel, onto which various elements, mainly handmade ceramic artefacts, are applied, thus creating a unique and unrepeatable work.
